The record was conceived in 60 days during the pandemic lock-down in New York. The idea was to write and record a song a day. When I wrote the song "Path", intuitively set the tone for what the rest of the album was going to be and sound like: steady drum beats, lush string arrangements, and deep soften vocals. I came up with the main riff for the song and it sounded so familiar to me that I was convinced I was copying a classic song but I could not find it, maybe you know. Hopefully not.

I let thoughts run through my head
Was it a struggle or was there some joy?
I want to cut all out, keep it away
It’s growing inside me this unbearable thing.

I hear you calling my name
Night crawling in with all the shame.
I step outside to catch a breath
The shining stars light up the path.

I haven’t left but want to see you again
Like a summer breeze in the evening light.
I want to hold you tight with my heavy arms.
Roads are closing in, and I have to say goodbye.
